HELLO GUNNERS FANS
Arsenal are expected to hold transfer talks with Marseille who are reportedly desperate to sign loan star William Saliba on a permanent basis.
The 20-year-old Arsenal defender is on a one-year loan at Marseille but has been such a success that they hope to extend his stay beyond the end of this season.
Transfer expert Ekrem Konur has reported that the club hope to sign Saliba permanently and will open transfer talks with Arsenal soon.
Saliba joined the Gunners on a five-year deal for £ 27million from Saint-Etienne in July 2019, but has yet to appear for them since his stint in north London.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are interested in Ajax prodigy Noussair Mazraoui, according to ESPN.
He can negotiate with foreign clubs from January and Arsenal could add him to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
However, he is currently in talks with his current club about an extension and Arsenal are monitoring the situation and are ready to pounce if they become available.
At 24, the right-back has a lot of experience at the highest level having played for Ajax in national and European competitions.
Finally, Manuel Locatelli only wanted to join Juventus in the summer transfer window and refused an approach from Premier League giants Arsenal, Sassuolo manager Giovanni Carnevali said in quotes reported by Football Italia.
He said: “(Locatelli) only wanted to go to Juventus. We received offers from Arsenal and other clubs, but there was nothing we could do. He was determined.”
According to Calciomercato, Arsenal were willing to pay more than £ 30million for Locatelli while offering him £ 90,000 a week to the Emirates.
The Italian midfielder’s metronome, however, had his heart firmly on Juventus, so much so that he told his representatives not even to open talks about a move to Arsenal.
