SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Many businesses in the Coastal Empire are struggling to stay afloat during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. A few upcoming opportunities could help some businesses in the region overcome the COVID-19 traps.
The City of Hinesville has announced plans to offer another round of its Small Business Stimulus Grant.
Approximately $ 95,000 in grants are available in the second round of the Small Business Recovery Grant.
Qualifying for-profit businesses must be located within city limits and in operation as of September 30, 2020 with documented loss of revenue.
Officials say the application period opens at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1 and ends at 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 16.

In Savannah, a virtual webinar aimed at providing updated status on certain pandemic programs for business owners is taking place on Thursday.
Information will be provided on the current status of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Discount Portal, COVID-19 EIDL Advance and Targeted Economic Disaster Lending (EIDL), changes to the program SBA debt relief, the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) and the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) program, among others.
